Writing Craft at University of Michigan Press

For information about submitting a manuscript for publication, please take a look at our information for prospective authors. At this time, we are only open to submissions for new projects in our series Poets on Poetry, Under Discussion, and Writers on Writing. For these series we allow a combination of new and previously published work. We are not seeking poetry collections, memoirs, or works of fiction.

Poets on Poetry seeks collections of essays, reviews, and interviews on themes and topics in contemporary poetry and poetics. Please send your proposal to series editor Derek Pollard (dpollard@mailfence.com) and acquiring editor Haley Winkle (haleywin@umich.edu).

Under Discussion seeks collections of essays, reviews, and interviews on contemporary American and English poets about whom the consensus has not yet been formed and the final vote has not been taken. Please send your proposal to series editor Georgia Popoff (gappoetsyr@gmail.com) and acquiring editor Haley Winkle (haleywin@umich.edu).

Writers on Writing seeks books from writers on writing craft and other aspects of the writing world and life, discussing their own work and work of others. Please send your proposal to acquiring editor Haley Winkle (haleywin@umich.edu).
