Meet the Editor
Marcella Landri is acquiring editor in African, Asian, and American studies at the University of Michigan Press. She is particularly interested in book projects that center narratives, theory, and methodologies rooted in local and regional knowledge production. Topics of interest include indigenous sovereignty, decolonial and transnational intersectionality, non-alignment, and dewesternized approaches to theory. Work that unsettles conventions of Africanist scholarship and prominently features African archives, institutions, and intellectual traditions is particularly welcome. She oversees a number of book series including African Perspectives, Tiwizi, and Critical Militarization Studies.
