Results indicated that boards with silicate adhesives generally exhibited superior structural strength over those with starch adhesives, especially when heavy applications were used. Furthermore, the study provided theoretical insights, correlating the stiffness of the fiberboard (modulus of elasticity) with box compression strength, concluding that proper adhesive selection significantly enhances the performance of corrugated packaging.
