'Disabled Veterans in History' named as one of Foreign Policy's best books on PTSD

Foreign Policy has selected Disabled Veterans in History for its reading list of best books on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Lt. Col. Robert Bateman writes that this book "a good multinational examination of the history" of disorders affecting veterans and the evolution of "changing attitudes" towards such illnesses.

Originally published in 2000, Disabled Veterans in History is an anthology edited by David A. Gerber. A revised and expanded edition, with an afterword by Jonathan Shay, M. D., Ph. D., will be available in June.
