David Barton Smith is Professor and Program Director of the Healthcare Management Program, the School of Business and Management, Temple University. The research for this book, as well as a series of articles published in the Journal of Health Policy, Politics and Law and the Journal of the American Public Health Association were supported by a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Investigator Award.
