Theater and Performance Studies at University of Michigan Press

Our theater and performance studies list seeks titles that answer the question: How do theater and performance enact and speak back to politics? By politics, I mean the politics of the everyday–how people move through the world, think of themselves in relation to those around them, and negotiate those relationships. Our two flagship series in this area, Triangulations and Theater: Theory/Text/Performance seek work that answers this question through queer and trans studies and histories and through theater and performance as and in relation to theory.
