Award-winning photographer Monte Nagler will present "Around the World in Photographs" as the inaugural University of Michigan Press Author Series event this Wednesday, January 13, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the UM Harlan Hatcher Graduate Library.

"My presentation on January 13th will encompass an around-the-world tour based upon my photography," Nagler said. "There will be at least three dozen photographs from 24 countries including color, black and white and infrared images.

"I will discuss my techniques of photography, unusual experiences around the world, how I market my photography, photography as a career and much more. I am open to questions and very willing to share any aspect of my photography knowledge."

Nagler is author of Monte Nagler's Michigan, a collection of photographs from inside the state. For more information on the event, which is free and open to the public, visit the MLibrary Web site.
