Where Do the Children Play? Named Best Film

Congratulations to the producers of Where Do the Children Play? who won the Eugene International Film Festival Best Film in Social Issues/Family Values.

With over 800 entries, EIFF selected 72 films that were shown over the four day festival. Winners of the five best film categories were announced on Sunday.

Where Do the Children Play?, a multiple Emmy winner, is a one-hour documentary for public television that examines how restrictive patterns of sprawl, congestion, and endless suburban development across America are impacting children's mental and physical health and development.

The documentary was produced by Michigan Television and distributed in the United States by the University of Michigan Press.
